Steel media are used for burnishing processes. They can give an extremely high polished surfaces to most metal components in very short process periods. Often, mirror-like finishes on components can be achieved.
Steel media used in barrels, vibratory finishing machines for various metal finishing applications, including polishing of gold and silver jewelry, zinc die castings, cast aluminum, hinges, bearing cages, pistons, sintered bushes, watch parts, zip sliders; burnishing of coin blanks and stampings, jewelery, cutlery, and copper pipe fittings; mirror finishing of spoons and flatware, etc.
Steel Media can be available in carbon steel, stainless steel or chrome plated steel, in spherical balls, pins, diagonals, satellite.
